Oats are known for their nutritional values and externally as an emollient and moisturizer. The inflammatory and antioxidant properties soothe itchy skin and stimulate vitamin B on the epidermis. Another excellent use for oats is a facial cleanser. When ground into a powder and mixed with purified water, it can be turned into oat milk. Or a soothing milk bath. I’m not going to leave you hanging. Here’s a recipe:
Irritation-Soothing Oat Bath
3 ½ oz Oat Flaks
One ¾ oz Coarse Salt
One ¾ oz Chamomile Power
Pulse oats, coarse salt, and chamomile. Pour ingredients into fabric sachet and immerse this pouch in a hot bath. Allow infusing for a few minutes, then dive into the milky bath and enjoy the sweet scent of chamomile.
